A Message from the President
This year, NESHCo has continued to introduce new services aimed at supporting our members at every stage of their career. Among these are our popular telepconferences and webinars and our new electronic newsletter. We have had very positive feedback on these initiatives and your Board will continue to seek to be both proactive and responsive to your needs. Please reach out to Executive Director Kelly Woodsum, to me or to your state director(s) at any time with questions or suggestions.
Our recent Spring Conference in Providence was very well attended and thoroughly enjoyed by all, according to our feedback. It was a great pleasure to honor our 2008 Lamplighter Award recipients, representing the "best of the best" in New England health care communications. Congratulations to all and a special thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make this year's event so successful. Thanks also to our sponsors, who make quality events like this possible. It was especially gratifying to honor Tim Dean of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center as recipient of the 2008 Owen McNamara Writing Award.
Coming in October: our annual Fall Conference to be held this year in Connecticut. Your conference committee is hard at work preparing what we expect will be another very interesting and rewarding event. I look forward to sharing it with you as I end my term as your NESHCo president. It has been an honor and privilege for me to serve in this capacity and to work with a board that so well represents our region.
