In order to arrive somewhere, you have to see where you’re going.

A clear vision helps you identify goals, and a clear focus helps you achieve them. So put on your metaphorical spectacles and join us for the 2018 NESHCo Spring Conference, May 20-22. This year, we will take a look at the state of today’s healthcare environment in the funky, historic site of the American Optical Company, the foremost eyeglass and optics manufacturer that called Southbridge home for more than 160 years.

Now a state-of-the-art hotel and conference center, this site boasts cool restaurants, meeting rooms, an amphitheater, ballroom, and the most impressive fitness center you’ve ever seen at a hotel. All of this is built around the original historic site and its mission to help people see better. Doing exactly that is what healthcare communicators and strategists do for each other at the annual Spring NESHCo conference—we help each other see better by sharing our challenges and our solutions—in short, our vision and our focus.

We have put together a program featuring a wide variety of topics designed to help you in your role. Geonetric’s Chief Strategy Officer and SHSMD President Ben Dillon will present a general session roundtable on web redesign, along with Patrick Kane of Cape Cod Health, Christina DiBona of Stamford Health, Rowan Muelling-Auer of Rutland Regional Medical Center, and Chelsey Boyle of Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Rick Adams and Victoria McCandless of Dartmouth-Hitchcock will discuss communications during hospital “never events” in what is sure to be a compelling closing session. And Shawn Mawhiney of Hartford HealthCare and Reem Nouh of Adams & Knight will present a keynote on delivering customer experience, a key factor as we look toward the consumerization of healthcare.

Each of these experts, in addition to several breakout presenters, will share their industry knowledge and provide information to help us all succeed. Add in a unique pre-conference workshop and a Friday morning program featuring key Lamplighter winners from the night before, and we’re confident you’ll leave with plenty of good ideas to help you in the next year.

In addition to the learning opportunities, this year’s conference offers plenty of opportunities for networking as well. Be sure to join us for Sunday night’s opening Game Night event, as well as Monday night’s annual Lamplighter Awards Dinner. If you’re an early bird, participate in the Monday morning yoga class as the sun comes up.

We have a great conference agenda designed with you in mind, so get ready to learn from experts in the field. Get comfy with peers and colleagues in any number of indoor and outdoor conversation spots. Run up to your room for that meeting you just can’t miss, and be back downstairs in time for the next session. Come early or stay a little late to visit local popular spots like Old Sturbridge Village or Tree House Brewing Company.

Register today and if there’s more than two people coming from your organization, we have group pricing that will provide savings for all of you.

We look forward to welcoming you, meeting you, working with you and celebrating with you. We’ll “see” you in Southbridge!
